Chaos of Insanity

Wildebeest, wildebeest - why do you run

Lurching in mass across the sun?

Your destinations found blindly

Your reactions sound wildly

Seeking the waters of optimism

While crossing desert of pessimism.

Wildebeest, wildebeest - why do you stand

In calm; peace, that you cannot understand?

While reason dissolves into chaos of insanity

Where instincts save or deceive; each its own profanity.

The need to run is an irrepressible drive

To find respite in waters of the river; alive.

Or to discover that salvation is as illusive

As the image of an oasis - just beyond the elusive...

The composition changing into inevitable death,

Whispering:   “Wildebeest, wildebeest - run to a last breath”.

A Tree in Stillness

While bellicose storms overwhelm the air
A mind is filled with confusing aberration –

A silence bides its omnificent presence to ration
Stillness upon a tree of bare

And unto the burgeoning light across range of perception
Until enlightenment returns quiet to its intention.

Silence

An inner thought occurs and

Ahh...

Silence

Finds me

Oooom...

And I find silence

Ahh-ooom

As the circle completes -

Silence is me.

Arise

The luminal focus of Spring light
Picturing a sacred tabernacle
Against the dormant ground
Holding apex at the steradian
Between the moment of death;
 Life;
 And the ephemeral

Laying across the cold whitened ground
 Under the blue
 A fallen one finds reason
 To arise...

Poet Buried With Her Words

The woman lived alone
Keeping life in a swarm
Of many a young girl’s fears
Along with cascading diaries of her lost seasons.

While specters picked from the garden of mad reasons,
That horded into possessed years,
Piling each and all; covering them with deep earth warm.
For life became an idiopathic tome.

The material possessions simply implied a prone
Submission for at once, they possessed the keeper,
While the rooms disintegrated into nothingness
Where the mind had divested of all logic and muse.

And, the musicians holding empty hands do amuse
For their notes of tone color; strophic; rondo hath a grim reaper
Adagietto infusing the air with the fullness
Of Mahler’s Symphony 5 in a slow... and final atone.

5-7-5 Repeat

clepsydra speaks time

emptying in serpentine

twists to note life's rhyme

Act of Transformation

The dancer had lost sense -

Whirling about the empty stage

Leaping and twirling in blind rage

For silence covered his nakedness

And darkness bore away at mass of pretense.

So that only shadows witnessed the clarity -

Of a tiny dancer evolving into rarity

Where experience was at the moment

When transformation bowed to enlightenment.

A Glint Conflicts

A droplet stirs the rampaging heavens -

When the ocean seeks kindred -
Where does it follow

When the mighty rivers convex -
Which point is the ocean -

What form does water take
When forces and flows converse-

Why do each of these make greater
The less and yet – the whole?

A glint conflicts the vastness of nothingness.

“Nothing’s Gonna’ Change”

“Nothing’s gonna’ change my world

Jai guru deva om...”

Gotta go – gotta go Marine!

You cannot stay – you gotta go

Ya gotta go

Its time to live or die

 Its time to go

See the fire it is coming

Ya gotta move

See the time in your sights

You must go – life is at cross

Remember the days upon the pure sands

When the waves brought you in

When the crashing came to a still-

Young rider in youth when riding was a free

To a tunnel into a perfection of ruse -

Now in the mud and blood of death

You seek the rotors of the flying Cobras

Angels of death and rescue

Gotta go Marine – Gotta go!

Fall back and cover – fall back and look back not

Its insanity evolving into the zone

Where life and death decipher

The toll...

The dead can never know their final count -

If not who survived – remember and mourn.

“Nothing’s gonna’ change my world

Jai guru deva om...”

A Truth Bindle

A truth bindle carries with it many a fold
Once it’s opened and laid out flat; keeps no hold
Nor does it bring much warmth - in the deep of winter
When morning rules enforce one to take a stroll.

The night shelter’s bell rings seven times a reason
To find another day’s keep and a safe place
To ward off the bitter grips of class treason.
Surviving alone but with a threadbare coat of gray spun.

Standing along the highway straits
The lone wayfarer waits
For a notice, by the speeding travelers, for good fortune.
“Where are you headed, old man?”  inquires his fate.
“I am following my life to a bar, a drink and to my fellows of familiar traits”

And with that he kept his secrets and burden buried
Deep in his life’s knapsack which helps him slip the insanity.
He mentioned that his brother Joe, was ferried
Unto another life where trouble and pain were no longer married.
Hence, he now walks all alone until it is time that he too, be carried.

He stepped out from the black carriage unto the cold;
Wished me well and god speed back to family and home.
Thanking me for the time and a kindness to behold
For everyone will someday reach the same old;
Understanding that a truth bindle has a worth that cannot be told.

Act of Ambition

Oh Child, why do you wander so;
Is there not enough keep by a heaven’s star
to know –
nor pure moonlight to leap far
into the dream’s lie within your eye
Staked...  near earth’s strained cry?

Hey Kid, the cards are dealt
To those who sit at the table
Of green felt –
As the point, standing between a spade and a heart fable,
Plays out to a last call
While the dealer’s face evaporates into a pall.

Sit old man, here by the side
And regret the many hands misplayed
And laid out wide –
For the story is same; waylaid
By youth’s unbridled act of ambition
And then negotiated away towards terms of volition.

Time Passed

Time passed from there to here
While the moment came to sit near.

The message that was delivered in a name
Holds many fond memories of the same
Who was a builder of many things that keep
Around dolls, coins, stamps and a good family man
Who loved and is beloved in dear.

Time will pass from here to there
And the moments will rest.. in care.
