Here in the Past

How did my grasp lose hold?

Who took my vast view
And all that I once knew?

Leaving me alone in this cabin room
Filled with strange keeps, yet old
Things that now haunt and loom
Over the edges of my black sea.

Where severed memories lie
Floating about in broken tie
To what was once me.

My life, when did it cast
Away leaving me in the past.

Pi at 2 AM

In delving into the immenseness of this chapel sky

The immediacy of reason and sanity evaporates

Into the schemes and images hidden amongst stars.

Their seemingly stilled images – chaotic vestiges;

Where the begin and the end share infinite pi

And timelessness and black space have unique elaborates

As the heart and the spirit battle against the mind’s bars

That secret away the touchstone as its own aegis.

One

In reflecting the impermanence of the one sky

While the moon’s light dwells by - so casually

Amongst the wisps of white travelers; sailing

One disowns life’s encumbrances

And marries instead the notion to fly

Across the spectrum – so beautifully!

For neither the one worshipper nor the one reveler

Shall seek need for long remembrances.

Dawn’s Finding

Transference of life thru the morning’s first light

Whether to find the ravagers of the lost night

Or to wait the blessings of the blue edged sight

Count your followers and tend their needs

Send out the hunters and gatherers of seeds

We must bury those who lost their creeds

Give homage to who survived the demon’s voracious fight

Lest inevitable time; we shall all sweep away in eventual flight.

Boats by a Barn

Underneath the bruised skies of fall

The old children migrate to their call

And to mother’s womb that is their hue

Returning home from distant seas

To rest upon the cold bromegrass dew-

For only the triangle barn’s pleas

Are waived the for a boat’s reeds

To survive a dangerous sea’s deeds.
