I am a word
monkey
And I rhyme
off key-
You
wouldn’t know it
I am a poet.
Couplets
buzz from me
Like a bumble
bee
Swirling
round a hive
Making
haiku – jive.
Roses are
flowers
Could go on
for hours
Verse; lyrical
rhyme
Oh! look at
the time.
The honey
is sweet
With iambic
beat
This work
is complete
And now -
take a seat.
