A Third Person Omniscient

Where did they find the third of his person;

When did the blind man’s gyration

Cross the spectrum of all his ambitions?

To become a place where he was done

Wrested away from forms and from bowels

That had been from her beginnings.

And that have forevermore held as one;

Though never have they shared the forebodings

That brought them to this single place of blue mornings.

Where the garden’s stones tell many an epitaph

Held precious by all those who came to rest

Below those mighty boughs of armies who once stood

Firm against the rampaging forces in an immoral quest

For all knew not - his place; or her time; nor their graph.

Running in the Mirror of Time

Only a mirror to view time

And place I’ve just crossed

That never cared who I was

Nor forgave ‘lorn aspirations.

Yet, the distance holds me from myself

While grasping at all my fatal ambitions.

The distance was a boundless point.

The time an endless reflection of mirrors.

A Place In Nature

In the woods, where lives calm,

Is a place where life and decay

Persist in an eternal synergy

As does body and soul

In a communion with everything.

Paths neither begin nor end;

Simply directions to follow

Along the way where one evolves

Around the notions of predatory

Intentions that must have - to be.

Or by sanguine ideals of romantics

that must be – to want.

And in reality, where perspective reigns;

Neither chaos nor serenity have matter.

How Fast Can You Run

The mighty tiger asks, “How fast can you run?”

And all the forest is stricken still.

The winds shriek all night before the sun

Uncovers those that felt the kill.

A young boy leaps out grasping at the pall-

Only the warrior’s capes can save his fall

Unto the screaming silence that is his private hell.

And from the night a voice asks, “Can you tell

This place from where all are one shell?”

The meek lamb asks, “Does it make sense

To look for me - in the present tense?”

The tiger snarls, “How fast can you run?”

Apart

Visually -

It is all apart.

Rationally -

All apart it is.

Romantically -

Apart it is all.

Triangulating art -

Found a point - apart.

Touching Moments

Scattered along the way are the leaves

That were once both canopy and visage-

And that now cover tender the path’s eves.

You must know that your touch will remember

Me back this way from the falling edge-

For we hold true to that moment; if one believes.

Recognizing is a touch that may not be forever

But it is who we are; alone and together.

The Affectation of Reflections

Reaching into the water’s reflection to find – faint

Closing your mind in the dark to avoid – avowed

Remembering the days that have passed to touch - time

Wanting the truth to forgive the damned - deception

Seeking time to reconcile dour – doubt

Waking the darkness to loath - light

Climbing the summit to view – valley

Summoning poetry to write – wrong.

April's Fool

The southern winds cast their inexorable spell

As mother slowly strips away winter’s shell

Calling forth the greening snake

To pass across her bosom and loin; awake

Her soils’ burn; spurning a winter myth’s tell,

Lamenting how death is a final cold stake,

While April’s fool with dance and song dwell

Upon mother’s beauty that lovers can never take.

Sleep Prince Nibs

I can see that in your eyes there is a time

That is coming where it will not rhyme

I hear that in your voice there is a timbre

Whose mellow tones strain without limber

I hold your unsteady hands so to calm

The storms that you once carried in your palm

I understand now how you must leave the day

Only know I will never be far away

Sleep my handsome Prince Nibs in yonder place

and wait - for I shall come to touch your sweet face.

A Song of Beauty

The river has neither a source nor end

From whence its flowing waters begin;

As destiny springs with neither promise of fate

Nor runs with reasons that hold spate

Against relative distances beyond reach

Or provide a base-time that will teach

That stepping into the dark waters of immersion

Will be an exquisite equivalence of cosmic inversion

Where sleep travels upon the trails of light

And a single thought envelops the night.

Immersion

The river has neither a source nor end

From whence its flowing waters begin;

As destiny springs with neither promise of fate

Nor runs with reasons that hold spate

Against relative distances beyond reach

Or provide a base-time that will teach

That stepping into the dark waters of immersion

Will be an exquisite equivalence of cosmic inversion

Where sleep travels upon the trails of light

And a single thought envelops the night.
