Lilith's Song of Prayer

The cold gray day in foreboding

Whispers, “Walk with me

Unto waters of the ancient seas

Where wanders gather; long to see;

‘For the long night - is eroding

The light - deep within inner eye.”

The silent sounds of frigid bells – in still;

To a time in place where souls vie

Waiting the albatross to speak, “Lie

Down into black water’s beds.  Nigh!

Repose into an eternal idyllic chill

To be consumed by essence’s swirling motion.”

Oh, how enchanting lines of a withering night

bridge the voids between the iron gates of will

And the self-indulgent shreds of good-ill.

Even as haunting wails of death’s song shrill

As nightly beasts waltz with demons in rising fright,

Lilith’s celadon eyes pierce the colorless light

“Sleep deep until the sweet dawn rises in full emotion.”

Her feathered breath warming the longest cold;

As irrepressible life moves – dropping below the buried fold

To reign once more over truth that need not be told.

“Rise sweet prince to the highest sight

Where earth and sky keep neither in hold.”

A Third Person Omniscient

Where did they find the third of his person;

When did the blind man’s gyration

Cross the spectrum of all his ambitions?

To become a place where he was done

Wrested away from forms and from bowels

That had been from her beginnings.

And that have forevermore held as one;

Though never have they shared the forebodings

That brought them to this single place of blue mornings.

Where the garden’s stones tell many an epitaph

Held precious by all those who came to rest

Below those mighty boughs of armies who once stood

Firm against the rampaging forces in an immoral quest

For all knew not - his place; or her time; nor their graph.

Running in the Mirror of Time

Only a mirror to view time

And place I’ve just crossed

That never cared who I was

Nor forgave ‘lorn aspirations.

Yet, the distance holds me from myself

While grasping at all my fatal ambitions.

The distance was a boundless point.

The time an endless reflection of mirrors.

A Place In Nature

In the woods, where lives calm,

Is a place where life and decay

Persist in an eternal synergy

As does body and soul

In a communion with everything.

Paths neither begin nor end;

Simply directions to follow

Along the way where one evolves

Around the notions of predatory

Intentions that must have - to be.

Or by sanguine ideals of romantics

that must be – to want.

And in reality, where perspective reigns;

Neither chaos nor serenity have matter.

How Fast Can You Run

The mighty tiger asks, “How fast can you run?”

And all the forest is stricken still.

The winds shriek all night before the sun

Uncovers those that felt the kill.

A young boy leaps out grasping at the pall-

Only the warrior’s capes can save his fall

Unto the screaming silence that is his private hell.

And from the night a voice asks, “Can you tell

This place from where all are one shell?”

The meek lamb asks, “Does it make sense

To look for me - in the present tense?”

The tiger snarls, “How fast can you run?”

Apart

Visually -

It is all apart.

Rationally -

All apart it is.

Romantically -

Apart it is all.

Triangulating art -

Found a point - apart.
