Night Light

I sense you are there little night light.

 

Standing there in faint glow

Holding back the powers of night

That encircle and engulf all foes

With immutability bearing full might

Against lost reasons and found woes.

 

I see you are there little night light

Waiting for dawn before I go.

Night Light

I fear not the night

For I know not the light -

Yet, that darkness has a place

That loves this old face …

- and so, there is haste

That knows the plight

Of time set alone – set aside

A madness that will abide

All reason for total waste

For there is no more to ride.
