A Moment in Haste

 

The dormouse came to be

When beguiled by a notion

That what is temporary

Is too, infinite;

And said to the white knight,

“Make no haste

For the labyrinth has no taste”.

 

Impermanence is a canvass

That keeps no secrets

And understands that waste

Is left for the dullards

Who neither believe -

Nor think beyond the grey woods

That they harbor in.

 

Speak to me universe

That I may hear infinity;

That I may understand the end

Of an event horizon

And that I may grasp

The voice of chaos

Explain human pathos.

Moment to Moment

 Take a moment when the mind rushes

Madly about in constant circles and loops

Or if your eyes see nothing but fear

Grasping at your feet so to pull you under

Into the dark depths of despair and depression

Find  moment when your back

carries that arduous weight

Of time and materials as the very chains

That slough your steps and spirit

The skies are blue no matter darkest storm clouds

Clouds will trail away in a moment

And the sun’s rays will warm away the coldness

Listen the woods are thriving and calling

Be still - become alive

Lose yourself far behind in the spur of the moment

Serenity assumes itself moment to moment

Distractions will fade away to meaninglessness

The strains of pain will ease in a moment

And each moment is the eternity

One seeks to become in the presence - without mind
